The Shadow in the Bathroom Mirror

 It was almost midnight when Riya went to the bathroom to wash her face.

The house was completely silent. Everyone else was asleep.

As she looked into the mirror, she suddenly felt something strange.

For a moment, she thought she saw a shadow move behind her.

She quickly turned around.

Nothing.

The bathroom was empty.

Riya laughed nervously and told herself it was just her imagination.

She turned back to the mirror again.

This time she froze.

In the mirror, someone was standing behind her.

A tall dark shadow with a twisted smile.

Her heart started beating fast.

She slowly turned around again.

Still nothing.

Her hands started shaking.

Then suddenly, the light in the bathroom flickered.

When the light came back…

The shadow in the mirror was gone.

But now Riya realized something terrifying.

The reflection in the mirror…

was no longer hers.
